Vinyl flooring from Horizon Tile & Flooring is a next-generation product that replaced linoleum back in the 60s. The installation process is very simple by today’s tech standards, and we take it to the next level with the latest equipment and installation techniques. Our vinyl flooring starts as a high-density paper and it then goes through a four-color printing process, just like a magazine, producing any pattern and number of colors.
At Horizon Tile & Flooring, we’re happy to share our knowledge to help with your DIY project. We hope this information saves you time and money, and please don’t hesitate to contact us should you decide it’s time for an experienced professional on the job.
Most vinyl flooring produced in the U.S. today comes in 12′ wide rolls in any length. In, Europe they produce rolls mostly 4 meters wide (13’2” or about, with some very limited production up to 15′.) After the print process, a PVC coating is applied to the printed paper to protect the product, leaving it tough and easy to care for. Vinyl is seamless in widths up to 12′, comes in more patterns and is price competitive with laminate.
